Jason Jones is currently in his 23rd year of teaching and serving in his 4th year as Director of Bands at Central High School in San Angelo. Prior to teaching in San Angelo, he taught in Burnet, Early, Panhandle and Pampa. Throughout his career, his bands have been consistent UIL sweepstakes winners, state level qualifiers in the TMEA Honor Band and ATSSB OPS competitions, and made multiple appearances at the UIL State Marching Contest.

Jason is originally from Pampa, TX. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Howard Payne University in 1999 and a Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2021. Jason and his wife Amber, who teaches elementary music, have three children: Emileigh, a senior trumpet player, Adyson, a sophomore flute player, and Ian, an 8th grade tuba player.
